My story started in 2014. I was a skinny teenager with too much fat in all the wrong places. I couldn’t keep up with my friends when playing sports, and I felt weak, unfit, and purposeless wasting away playing video games. I dreamed of having a ripped physique and getting attention from people that would typically not give me a second look.
One day, I decided I wanted a six pack, as I thought that would help me feel more confident in my own skin. While doing my first few pushups and ab workouts in my bedroom, something inside me clicked. I became addicted. I knew that bettering myself was what really made me happy. I almost thought of myself like a video game character; I had to level up all my attributes through fun journeys and quests along the way.
As I started seeing progress, I realized that I really could do anything I set my mind to, a mantra my father preached to me as I grew up.
