I’ve got a few tips for how to improve your quality of life, through some basic mindset and organizational tips!
This is how I set up my tasks every single day. Start every single day with a list of “must do’s, should do’s, and could do’s”. Must do’s…you MUST DO. Important things, deadlines. Today it to was create this blog post and call my mom. Should do’s are urgent but not due tomorrow or today. Eventually these could get bumped up to must do. Mine today is to write a paper for a class I’m in. Could do is a “I’ll get to it when I get to it”. For me, its research new microphones and buy new glasses. These need to get done at some point, and constantly seeing them on my to do list makes me angry enough to just get them done at some point in the near future. Sometimes you dilly dally and do the easy non urgent things first, which is fine for momentum, but do the stuff that matters first!
So I have been reflecting over the last year and really thinking about how far I have come. A year ago, I was a bit lost, VERY burned out during my internal medicine rotation. This was close to 50 hours a week, on top of studying, on top of running my social media and in the first year of my own personal coaching business. It was a challenge but I did grow and learn so much. This coming January, I have my last in person rotation at school EVER: Emergency Medicine. Let me know if there is any specific content you want to see from my rotation there before it is FINALLY the end…

To finish this one off, I wanted to share more about my mindset and how I approach life. My friend’s know me as the guy who is never really stressed out about anything. Why? It is a mindset. Think about this. The ENTIRE world is in your head. Everything you perceive, think, and do comes from the brain in your head. The magic thing is that you have control over what you think, and this affects how you perceive things. I always practice positive thinking. Miserable things happen to miserable people, but good things happen to people who are confident in their positive outlook of life. Anything that has ever happened in my life, no matter how heartbreaking or discouraging, has ended up being ok. Right now at this moment, I am ok. And everything that will continue to happen in my life, will end up being ok. When you realize you have a lot of control over the thoughts you have, the things you do, and the way you perceive the world, you will have more power and control over your life.
Thanks for reading through all of this, I hope you’re able to make use of a few of them, especially during the festive season!
Do let me know of any topics you’d like to get my thoughts on.
Thanks as always,
