I’ve got some new insights for you, believe me, you’re gonna want to read this one!
Have a photoshoot? Want to have those abs pop a little extra for a day? Here is a simple water manipulation technique that is simple to try. Pro-tip: don’t do this for your photoshoot the first time. Give this a try on a random week to see how it works for you. And of course, if you experience any symptoms of cramping or dehyration, do NOT continue and ALWAYS consult your doctor before trying any water manipulation. Say the day you want to look your best is on Saturday. Starting a few days before that, increase water intake a lot. Generally this will be over 1.5 gallons (5L) per day. For larger individuals, this could go up to 2 gallons (8L). Your body will be flusmhing out water like crazy. Friday early-mid afternoon, cut out water and only take sips as needed here and there. Your body will continue flushing out that water, and you will be looking quite lean come Saturday morning.
So I’ve been speaking to a lot of new clients of mine lately who come to me because they are shocked about their blood work. It’s shown theyre borderline diabetic, have elevated liver values, high cholesterol, inflammation, and the list goes on and on. Which makes me think…there’s a huge amount of people that don’t even get their health checked with bloodwork ever. Many insurances offer one free check a year so take advantage of it! Get a baseline of your health at a young age and be proactive about conditions even before they develop.

After talking to some clients and looking around different apartments in Chicago, I’m thinking about the concept of convenience and walkability. From a health and fitness perspective, I think living in an area that’s walkable is crucial. That three block walk to a store would take just as long as getting in your car, driving over, finding parking, and walking to the entrance oftentimes. But the mental well being of being outside, and health effects of the walk far outweigh the drive. Many people I’ve spoken to live in cities and don’t even have cars. It could also just be about convenience. Some people have gyms at home or in their apartment complex. This makes it so easy to get a workout at any time of day. What im getting at is choose life circumstances that make wise choices easy. Whether it’s living in a city where you need to walk or bike, having a big farm where you are active, or having a treadmill in your home office. Choose wisely.
