Hey Hannes,
I had a lot of positive feedback from the “trial run” last week, so I’m back again to give you a little insight into my thoughts about some interesting topics.
Please feel free to share any you’d like to get my opinions on!
On The Beat…
I’ve been trying to get my life and tasks a little more organized. I found a great little tool the other, it’s called notion. It’s great for keeping track of what I need to get done and by when. It also works great in team settings, as task delegation and management is made super simple.
Get it together, and ditch the chaos!
I’ve been trying to rely less on caffeine recently, as a result, I find that I have more stable energy levels, and am overall much less anxious! It’s great that there are so many options these days to help with this, such as stim-free pre-workouts, or reduced-caffeine coffees and teas!
Rethink your drink!
I’ve had some thoughts about gym intimidation lately and how many beginners are scared or nervous in the gym. Truth is, every single person in the gym had once never picked up a weight! On top of that, people there are so focused on themselves that they don’t even really care about what other people are doing. Go in there, do your thing, and don’t look back!
Make it happen!
One fitness “trend” that I’m not particularly a fan of is the obsessive focus on making things “optimal”. Many fitness influencers have popularized funky variations of exercises under the premise that they are the most optimal for a muscle while demonizing other (enjoyable) exercises as not being as effective. The truth is, most of us are not competing for the best physique, and just want to look decent with our shirts off. There is a huge enjoyment factor to lifting/exercising, so if you enjoy an exercise, DO IT, and don’t let anyone make you feel bad for it not being “most optimal”.
Don’t forget to have fun!
hanks again for taking the time out of your day to read through my thoughts. Please do let me know what yours might be, as well as anything further you’d like to hear about from me!
Thanks as always,
Christian Poulos
