It’s fair to say that most people, at some stage in their life, have looked at themselves and thought, “I need to lose a few pounds.”
If you’re one of those people, don’t worry! You’re part of a huge community that I’m proud to be a part of!
So today, I’m going to share some tips on how to exterminate that unfavourable belly fat we all look at in annoyance every now and then! The key to losing fat is a caloric deficit, where you burn more calories than your body takes in. These are some guidelines I try to follow to make sure I am in this deficit.
- Avoid overconsumption of sugary drinks and snacks
- Use cardio- This is a classic way to burn extra calories. Watch your favorite show on the treadmill, play basketball with your friends, or put on some music and enjoy nature on a run
- Make sure your diet is high in protein and low in saturated fat
- Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables – Both low in calories
- Replace most liquids with water – No calories and helps hydrate the body properly
- Plan your meals – This helps avoid spontaneously pigging out on a fat fuelled meal
- Resistance training – Great for increasing strength, muscle mass, and losing weight
By following the above tips, I can guarantee you will start to see a change in no time!
